You have several slots available to you, 5 character slots for each server, bag slots, and bank slots. Take advantage of these. Create low level characters and roll them to the auction house.
Buy Netherweave Bags for 5g to 7g, these are 16-slot bags that you can equip your characters with. Another bag to look at are Traveller’s Backpack, these are not soulbound so you can transfer them to your other characters. By equipping your characters with the 16-slot bags you’re already taking advantage of the bag slots available to you.
Next you maximize your bank buy buying all the slots, the first couple of slots are quite cheap and useful, and when you start making a lot of gold, it will hardly be a drop in your gold bucket to buy the 25g slot, which is of course very useful too because it’s more inventory space.
